That has burnt on food, without scratching off the non stick surface coating (i.e. with a brillo pad)

  1. it is best to clean the grill when it is warm as the food etc has not had a chance to get welded on!

Burn it off with a Blowtorch.

  3. Use an oven cleaner on the rack or grilling surface. It helps if you can remove the piece you want cleaned. EZ-Off is great.

  5. If it has non stick coating, it must be gas. Turn it on, and burn off any leftover stuff, turn it down to low or off then use an old dish towel or paper towels soaked in oil to "scrub" off the remaining ick. Olive oil is fine but cooking oil will not break down at high temps.
Always oil the grill before using to make it easier to clean and to prevent food from sticking (even on a non stick surface).

Easy! Use a lemon, cut in half, and rub it all over the grill rack. Let the juice get all over. Do this with the first half. Fire up the grill, letting the flames burn off what’s left of the food that may be on there. Then turn the fire back down and rub with the second lemon half. Let it cook off once again.

  9. I get a large garbage bag, carefully place the rack inside with tearing it. Standing on one end I then pour straight ammonia into the bag(about 2 cups),tie it up lay it down and let it sit for a good day in the sun…..you will be amazed!
