Grilled T-Bone Steak Recipe from the BBQ Pit Boys

One of the best tasting cuts of Beef Steak available is the T Bone Steak. It’s actually two steaks in one, the larger portion on the bone is the Strip steak, and the smaller side is the Tenderloin.

One of the BBQ Pit Boys demonstrates how to barbecue this prized cut of beef to perfection!

5-10 minutes gives the dog plenty of time to steal the steak. So eat the steak right away before the dog gets it.

So what’s the total cooking time for the steaks, using the direct/indirect heat method? I’m looking for around medium.

  8. well i respectfully …
well i respectfully disagree. if im an absolute beginner and have never watched cooking/grilling videos before, then i’d probably cut right into my steak, right off the grill, as i did when i first started grilling. i’m not questioning anybody’s bbq prowess. i’m still learning myself. if the resting issue is something thats been posted over and over again then i apologize.

Sharm127, been said before, and it’s boring….this is not food tv….! Resting is a given….and these guys don’t need to say this over and over…

  10. Unless I missed it, …
Unless I missed it, they need to emphasize that you need to let the steaks rest for at least 5-10 minutes prior to cutting into them or else all the juices intended for the inside of your steak end up on the plate. i’m sure they know this but they need to add this in for the beginnners. One of my biggest flubs when i started grilling.

    It’s anything but …
It’s anything but constructive criticism dude. Constructive criticism would’ve been something like…

“I do not recommend placing cooked meat on a surface where it appears you had raw meat. Also, for a more tender and juicy steak, try xyz, instead of putting the meat on a direct flame.”

I’m not saying that my assessment of how to cook or where to place cooked meats are correct, just point out that you were being more of an A-hole in your statement than anything else. Congrats on the bbq3000
