How do I grill bell peppers without a barbeque?

i know on a stove but do i need water or oil or something?

olive oil is good-they make stove top grills or you can broil them in the oven or a toaster oven. buy skewers from bed bath and beyond, williams sonoma or linens and things-you dont have to spend a lot as you can buy the wooden ones or by the metal ones if you intend to do this alot

If you are using pieces in a dish of some kind, I would saute them in olive or grapeseed oil.
