How do you put out the hot coals in a barbeque grill after you are finished?
I just let it die down. Shut the grill cover- not much of a safety issue- it doesn’t take long for them to die down.

Thomas, I have the Weber Kettle, I put the lid on a close all the vents.

You either leave it and let them get cold naturally or you pour cold water over them.
Personally, I close the lid and let them get cold naturally.
