What’s the best way to grill frozen hamburger patties on a barbeque grill?

I tend to slap the patties on my barbeque grill straight from the freezer. Once they’re completely grilled and I take the first bite….NO FLAVOR WHATSOEVER! So what should I do? Should I take the frozen patties from the freezer and place them in the refrigerator so they can thaw out the night before? Should I place the frozen patties in orange juice over night in the refrigerator? There’s got to be something to give my frozen patties "some" flavor! Help, please.

Yes, you should always thaw before cooking. Then, sprinkle them with a little salt, pepper & garlic powder OR sprinkle with Steak seasoning (like Montreal Steak Seasoning) for a little extra flavor.

You will be good to go!

  2. You should definitely thaw them first. Then season both sides of the thawed patties with salt and pepper. Grill to desired doneness. Let the other flavors come from the toppings. I’m not a fan of loading up burgers with foodstuffs or marinades. I like the taste of the meat to come through. Happy Grilling! =]

  3. We cook ours like that all the time but as soon as they start thawing then we add salt, pepper, garlic, maybe some chili powder, etc. Just whatever we’re in the mood for. Our burgers have always tasted good.

  4. I cook them right from the freezer as well. I pre heat my grill to med- high. In the meantime, I season each patty with season salt. Place on the grill until bottom side is pretty much seared- about 4- 5 mins. Flip over and continue cooking until done to your liking. I like mine medium-well. I have also found that it is better to under cook frozen patties than overcooking them. If overcooked they get to hard and rubbery. I under cook by a few mins. then let them rest on a plate covered with foil so they continue to finish cooking off the grill but don’t burn either. Good luck, hope this helps.

  5. RINSE YOUR FROZEN PATTIES IN WATER FIRST THEN SEASON ONE SIDE WITH LAWERYS SEASONING SALT. PUT THAT SIDE DOWN ON THE GRILL THEN SEASON THE OTHER SIDE. WORK S GREAT AT MY HOUSE
