ChefMaster Smokeless Indoor Stove Top BBQ Grill?
has anyone used the ChefMaster Smokeless Indoor Stove Top BBQ Grill? it is the 13′ round grilling plate for your stove. any pros cons? how many items can fit on? ity is very inexpensive online and i love to grill. any help would be appreciated!
I got one of these several years ago and I absolutely love it! I have done 4 burgers on it without much trouble. You do have to move the food around a little as it starts cooking to ensure that it’s all on the grill plate.
It’s easy to use. Put some water (very little is needed) into the ring. That’s what collects the fats and keeps it from smoking up the house. Use a low flame. My biggest mistake was keeping the flame too high. I scorched the food right to the grill plate. Use a cooking spray to keep it as non-stick as possible (even if the grill plate is coated). If you use cooking spray, spray it on BEFORE you turn the flame on – be safe! When you first turn the flame on, you may get a tiny flare up, but it goes away IMMEDIATELY (I have never had a problem) – but keep your face away from the burner as you do this.
Pros: The food is delicious. This is the closest I’ve tasted to real grilled food on any kind of indoor grill!
Cons: If you do scorch the food, clean up can be quite a chore. Keep the flame LOW!
It is supposed to work on electric stoves equally well, but I don’t have that experience!
TIP: Go ahead and get yourself a second one. You will want it at some point, and the availability of these grills does fluctuate!
