Does one has to reserve a spot in a park in order to have access to the BBQ grill and picnic area in a park?

I am talking about the Gracia Bend Park in the Pocket Area. If I have to reserve a spot, how do I do it and is there any fee that applies? For your information this is just a birthday party. If I don’t have to reserve a spot, can I just invite 50 people and use the BBQ grill that they have at the park?
By the way, I live in Sacramento, CA.

Here’s a link with what you need to reserve a spot – I would highly recommend it because you may not get a spot otherwise. Another suggestion would be to bring your own grill, then you could set up anywhere theres space in the picnic area. Have a great time :D
