An indoor electric grill allows the meat surface to have direct open air contact to the heating element.
Where the frying pan is more of a diffused even heat pattern all across the face of the meat.
The grill allows a different caramelizing of the meat’s surface, and allows fat to leach off from the meat.
The frying pan also allows fat to leach from the meat but the meat sits in that very fat that came from it.
The grilling of meat is healthier because the fat is allowed to drain off the meat.

I have a George Foreman electric grill and wanna prepare pork ribs.
How long do you think I should boil them for before throwing the on the grill? And yes, they are in fact Baby Back Ribs.

That should work fine, but I’d definitely suggest you partially cook them first by boiling in salted water along with a cut up onion. It’s a good rule of thumb with most all ribs if you want them to be fall off the bone tender. Then finish them on the grill, in the oven, or in your case on the George Foreman.

But if you just add the raw ribs to the electric grill, it not only will take a long time, but they won’t be very tender. You don’t say what kind of ribs (I’m guessing pork baby back), but about an hour simmering in the pot is a good baseline, unless they are super meaty. If so add another half hour. then just lift out of the water, brush with sauce of your choice, and finish them on the grill!

ETA YAY glad I guessed right. I’d say about an hour. What I’d suggest is poke them with a fork, at a meaty section, at an hour. It should be tender and easily slide in. If it doesn’t go in "like butter" just boil them a bit more and repeat fork test. But a good guess is 1 to 1 1/2 hours of boiling. (BTW you want a slow boil, almost a simmer versus a rolling boil.) Then they will be mostly done and you are finishing the off for flavor. And be sure to leave rack of ribs whole (unless cooking in a crock pot) or the meat will shrivel up and dry out…not what I shoot for when making ribs lolol.

You have me STARVING now…can I please crash your dinner?!!! I LOVE ribs!

in your supermarket there is a cleaning pack for steel shelfs, i can’t remember the name sorry, something like clean bright or hob bright. Anyway you put the racks in a bag (provided) and pour in the solution (provided) leave for several hours and they come out sparkling. I use it about 3 times a yr. Costs around £3.00.

Have a small electric grill and stovetop. Can a Hot Pocket or Lean Pocket be cooked on either of these? Do I have to buy a sandwhich maker or microwave to do this?l

You could cook it that way but it would need to be cooked on a low heat so that the outside wouldn’t overcook before the inside is heated throughout. I would just keep flipping it to make sure the outside doesn’t burn. Sometimes we just don’t have a choice but to make it work another way. I’ve had to make do with what I have before, it may be more trouble but it works out in the end. Enjoy it!

the electric elements just don’t get hot enough to really grill food
your best bet will be to get one with a hood, like a standard outdoor grill, which will help cook food through

example:
MECO 9325 Deluxe Cart Electric Grill
would be the minimum grill i would recomend that would be electric:

An electric heater is rated at 1500W, a toaster at 750W and an electric grill at 1000W.The three appliances are connected in parallel to common 120V household circuit. (a) How much current does each draw? (b) Is a circuit with a 25.0 Amp circuit breaker sufficient in this situation? Numerically justify the answer.

Make use of the relationship P=VI

a) The voltage across all elements in parallel here are equal, so the currents are…

Heater: I = 1500/120 = 12.5A
Toaster: I = 750/120 = 6.25A
Grill: I = 1000/120 = 8.33A

Total current drawn = 12.5 + 6.25 + 8.33 = 27.08A

b) The 25.0A breaker is not sufficient here, because the total current drawn exceeds the rating of the breaker.

For those people who says charcoal are better i want to say that it produces a hell lot of pollution and what is the enjoyment of food when you are compromising with nature..

I would recommend Electric Grill as its repair parts are easily available on grill-repair
and we can have hell lot of customization according to our selves.
