How can I smoke food on an electric grill?

February 3rd, 2010 | by admin |

I have a Char-broil electric grill. I want to use wood chips or whatnot to smoke my food but I’m not sure what I can do? I thought about maybe a metal container with some water and a wood chip in it…but not sure…any ideas?

Well you can, but you need to keep your soaked wood in open foil, but keep an eye for it.

You have the right idea. Just get a smoker box and put wood chips that have been soaked over night in it and start cooking.

Here is a link to some smoker boxes that you can use. I use the first one cause it is castiron and works great. I bought 2 at Lowes for my gas grill.
