I am looking for an electric grill that will leave my food tasting like it has been cooked in a propane or?

charcoal grill. Is there such thing?

The great thing about charcoal grills is the flavor, but the issue with them is it takes a while for you to get the heat going.

The advantages to propane is the convinece is you can be cooking your food in less than two minutes after you light the grill. The downside is you can burn though your gas fast if you like to BBQ and cook over long hours on low heat. And it just doesn’t give the flavor you would get with charcoal.

The advantages of Electric Grills are they are just as fast to get cooking with as the gas grills, and so long as you have power and a near by outlet your good to go. The bad thing is they can smoke up the kitchen fairly fast and just don’t offer the flavor of charcoal.

What you can do if you skip the electric grill and go for the gas grills is make packets of wood chips in aluminum foil and poke holes in it. Toss the packet on you burner and now you’ve got the convience of gas and the flavor of woodsmoke.

In summary, no electric grill will offer you what you can get from the other kinds of grills. Best of luck and if you need more answers feel free to toss me some more questions.
