How can I stop a bird from nesting in my gas grill?
I live in Michigan and have a gas grill on the back porch. This bird is piling nesting materials in the grill and I’ve resorted to leaving the top open to take away the "safety" factor, but this is not a long-term solution.
OH HOW SAD!!!!
he chosen to built his mate a castle while she awaits to move in…some were she waits close by..in some bush
or on branches close by…and the best way to find her
is too watch were Daddy after work happens to go home
and this is where you ..after you buy a bird house
and pile that nesting belongings in too their new home..
lifting it gently as not to destroy one straw he happen to weave for his chick ..secure it on that tree or bush
and there should be no problem
and clean out your grill and keep the lid CLOSED
get a cover that goes to the ground

common sense
Try keeping a plastic toy snake on the grill when not in use. This should scare the bird away from your grill.

Can you put out something that looks like your grill and while the bird is away transfer the nesting material into it. Like a metal tub of some sort? Or if you know what kind of bird it is, maybe a real bird house?
Then move your grill away, put a cover on it and cover any open spaces the bird could get into.
but you should hurry before it moves in and lays eggs and you are stuck with a bird house and no grill!!!
