How do I start my Dynasty Gas Grill?

It has a full tank hooked up to it and I hear the gas hiss when I turn the knob to "light". The grill has 4 knobs, one for each tray of briquettes. There are about 30 briquettes per tray. The starter is a knob that is supposed to cause a spark to ignite the grill. It hasn’t worked yet. Any suggestions? Please be thorough.

Your igniter may be broken (ours broke when the dog tried to eat the grill).

So, turn on the gas like usual but only one one of the trays. Then, very carefully strike a match (away from the grill) and drop it into the tray that is turned on. Once that tray is burning, you can turn on the others. Only having one tray on will hopefully prevent a big flare-up when you drop the match in.

pour about a gallon of gasoline into it, stand real close & then light a match
