How to freeze squash for grilling?

we like squash cut into slices and grilled on the bbq grill. If we slice it and put on a cookie sheet and freeze, will it be good for later grilling?

I would say NO
the squash is too soft and too much water
you will destroy the (?) meat…
just wrap in in cling wrap and refrigerate..
