Do new gas grills come with a propane tank?

When you buy a new gas grill does it usually come with a propane tank?
I live in Nebraska.

yes, it usually does come with an empty tank. you need to get the tank filled before you can use the grill.

  1. There are a couple of factors here. One is the retailer and there policy and two is the vendor of the grill. Go on Weber’s web site and see what is included. There are so many restrictions with propane cylinders being in a retail environment that it varies from state to state.

  3. i have just finished grill shopping and none of the grills included the tanks. i was doing comparsion shopping at lowe’s, home depot n k-mart.

    fyi – the best deal i found is the enamal (blue or red) kenmore grill at k-mart. good luck

  5. None I am aware of. Some stores will discount the tank price when you purchase a grill. The tank will be empty since the stores liability insurance would not cover full tanks. Even without a discount, tanks sell for about $20.
