Juniper Portable Box Stove / Barbeque

The Juniper Box Stove / Barbecue is a stainless steel firebox that is assembled by hand in the north east of Scotland. It allows for the building of a fire of reasonable size that will be more fuel efficient and less prone to scorching the earth than a traditional camp fire. It comes with a stainless cooking grid and also works very well with a variety of pots – especially a British Army Mess Tin.

It is ideal for camping, caravanning, hunting and fishing. We have successfully run it on wood, coal and charcoal. Obviously if you are using it as a barbecue then charcoal would be recommended, but it will will boil water quite happily on most any fuel.

Large pieces of fuel need to be fed in the top, but smaller pieces can easily be fed in through the air vents in the sides.
